Screen Printed Punk Patch Details

Backing types

  • Heavy Iron on

    • HeatnBond - ultra hold. Thicker backing, and stronger adhesive strength. Since it’s thicker, it makes the fabric have slightly less flexibility in a way that feels similar to medium weight denim. It also sticks better to thicker grain fabrics like denim in comparison to the light backing.

    • Great for medium to thick clothing like jackets and battle vests, and also if you really suck at sewing, this backing will pull most of the weight.

  • Light Iron on

    • HeatnBond - lite. Thinner backing that hardly effect the flexibility of the patch or the clothing it’s ironed on.

    • Great for light weight clothing, or things like patch pants where you don’t want to effect the flexibility at all.

  • No Backing

    • Just the raw patch. I also sew a mostly invisible line close to the edges to prevent the natural fraying from possibly running too deep after years of abuse. Normally the iron on backings themselves create the limit to how deep they can possibly fray which is why this is the only type I do that for.

    • Great for maximizing flexibility and breathability. Recommended to hand sew unless you’re pretty good with a sewing machine.

This is what you can expect the patches to look like after being washed several times
